Founded in 1995, the Cure Autism Now (CAN) Foundation is an organization of parents, clinicians and leading scientists committed to accelerating the pace of biomedical research in autism through research, education and outreach.
Since its founding, Cure Autism Now has committed over $12 million in research, the establishment and ongoing support of the Autism Genetic Resource Exchange (AGRE), and numerous outreach and awareness activities aimed at families, physicians, governmental officials and the general public.
Canadian National Autism Foundation
The objectives of the Canadian National Autism Foundation are, by such means as are charitable; to promote educational, clinical, and community programs to better understand the disability of autism and pervasive development disorder (PDD). Improving the ability to detect symptoms of autism and realizing early detection of the disorder. Developing a better understanding of Autism and PDD in Canada.
Autism Society Ontario is a leading source of information and referral on autism and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. Members are connected through a volunteer network of 29 Chapters throughout the Province of Ontario.
ASO is dedicated to increasing public awareness about autism and the day-to-day issues faced by individuals with autism, their families, and the professionals with whom they interact. The Society and its chapters share common goals of providing information and education, supporting research, and advocating for programs and services for the autism community.
